Women’s International Month 2021
As you know, Women’s International Month came to an end, I am honestly so thankful by the unstoppable and amazing women I’ve met with whom I got to share a personal and professional journey with.
When women come together, extraordinary things happen and I can definitely testify to that. What happened to “women supporting women” do we genuinely support women? We all say what we do, but do we really? When was the last time you were happy for another women for winning or accomplishing something? I meant genuinely happy.
In these couple of day, I challenge you to be your sister’s keeper, not just by mouth but by action. If she is beautiful, compliment her. If she looks good, compliment her. If she needs help, offer her assistance if you can. If she needs a hug, give her a hug. If she cries, offer her a tissue. If she needs to talk, give her time and be a listener. If she is being recognized or accomplished/successful, congratulations her. If she upsets you, choose peace over war. If she is still offending you, ignore her and choose peace. Your life will be better. If you don’t have anything good to say about her, don’t say anything at all. Let us all get along in peace and harmony. We as women need to build each other up, build each other’s self esteem, and to teach each other to practice self love/care.
I feel so grateful to witness so many of us just going for it and taking the world with courage, vulnerability, and grace. I dedicate this video to all the beautiful women that I have encountered throughout this pandemic. Even though the pandemic is a global crisis, you can all still be motivating, encouraging, and empowering other women to stay active and healthy. This is what sisterhood should be all about; supporting each other needs, wants, and dreams. I’m excited to see what’s in store for all of us on our walk of life.
I appreciate all the honorees for doing such amazing work to support the community to make it a better place to live. I also want to thank my Mom, Khunnang Sar, because of her resilience and strength. Without her I would not be the women I am today. She built me to be as resilient and strong as her.
I love you all.
